Foldable Background in Black / White

As a photographer with your own studio equipment, you eventually reach a point where you can't avoid a black or white background. And for this exact reason, we at Jinbei now offer backgrounds for you that have a size of 1.5 x 2 meters and are foldable.

So you can always choose which background you need for your respective subject, the background has both a black and a white side. Just set it up and take the photo. That easy.

Foldable the background folds down to a size of 70 centimeters, so you can easily transport it. If you are more of a videographer than a photographer, by the way, we also have bluescreen/greenscreen backgrounds:

Foldable Background - Blue & Greenscreen

Green and bluescreens are primarily used to better cut people out from the background in digital video post-production and insert them in front of a new background. This is used, for example, in Hollywood films when an actor is supposed to be riding a dragon in the final film – although originally sitting on a wooden frame.

To understand how these backgrounds work technically, you have to keep in mind that human skin has no green or blue component, but the skin color is basically located on the opposite side of the color scale. For this reason, human skin can (theoretically) be very well cut out from a green or blue background.

Whether you choose one color or the other depends on the studio lighting, but also very much on the background you want to insert later. The question is whether the later background is located more in the light or dark color spectrum.

The greenscreen is very easy to light because the neon color itself is already very bright. But for this reason, it also always reflects some color onto the person or object placed in front of it. This can make post-production for a later dark background difficult because edges (such as hair) are hard to edit. So you would rather use the greenscreen for backgrounds that are also supposed to be light later, so the color difference is not so strong.

The bluescreen, on the other hand, is overall a bit harder to light because it is a darker color – it needs more light than the greenscreen. But it can be well used if you want a dark background later.

At this point, you need to consider how your later film should look so that you can make post-production as easy as possible beforehand. And for this reason, both green and bluescreens are integrated here. You have the choice.

Care instructions: If you want to smooth the background additionally, please carefully use a steam iron, or alternatively spray a little water on the fabric and then blow-dry it.
