Used as a key light, the softbox creates a soft and natural-looking light that flatters skin tones and produces pleasing catchlights in the eyes. The combination of the standard diffusers and the included grid gives you control to precisely tailor the light to your subject.

Quick-Fold Mechanism for Set-Up

Thanks to the pop-up system with quick-release, the rods can be quickly and easily set up, making the light modifier ready for immediate use in the studio or on the go. For assembly, the rods are tensioned until they audibly click into place, then the softbox is mounted on the light source – most easily by tensioning opposing rods one after the other. Disassembly is just as easy: the individual rods are slightly lifted at the speedring base, the corresponding button is pressed, and the rod is then released. The included Bowens S-Type bayonet also ensures compatibility with many battery and studio flash units, as well as LED continuous lights.

Silver Interior for Soft, More Contrasty Light

The silver interior of the light modifier produces a soft, more contrasty light with slightly harder shadows. With the two translucent diffusers, a soft, diffused light can be achieved, which is evenly distributed over the subject. The inner diffuser reduces the formation of a brighter light area in the center of the image, while the outer diffuser increases the illuminated surface and further spreads the light. Both minimize distracting reflections on glossy surfaces – a clear advantage in portrait and product photography. The included black grid additionally focuses the light more towards the center of the image, reduces stray light, and darkens the edge areas, without changing the soft light character.

Thanks to its quick readiness for use and robust, durable construction, the softbox is a reliable partner for flexible lighting. It is designed for daily use in the studio as well as for changing conditions on the go and maintains its stability even with frequent assembly and disassembly.

Ideal for studio and on location

When closed, the light modifier is slim and space-saving and can be easily transported in photo luggage. This makes the softbox ideal for mobile use and can be conveniently taken to shoots. For use outside the studio or for space-saving storage, the softbox and accessories can be stored in the included transport bag.

Note: For softboxes larger than 120 cm, it is recommended not to use them with the SPARK or DM flash series, as the locking mechanism of the flash tilt head may not withstand the increased weight of the softbox and the tilt of the flash may change.
