Jinbei Zoom Focus System for Deep Reflective Softboxes & Deep Focus Umbrella

The Jinbei Zoom Focus System for Deep Reflective Softboxes & Deep Focus Umbrella allows you to use the softbox or umbrella much more flexibly than before. With the help of the Focus rod move your Light source in the light modifier continuously up to 40 cm. The light cone reflected in the softbox / umbrella is thus reflected at different angles and illuminates your subject with even, focused light that produces rather hard shadows. However, the hardness can be varied by moving the light source.

A major advantage of this design is that the light does not show the point light source as with a conventional softbox setup, but is reflected completely evenly. This works particularly well with parabolic deep softboxes, which have a greater depth with the same diameter than standard softboxes.

The hardness of the light, that means the hardness of the shadows on your subject, varies by moving the Light source. Slide your flash further into the Softbox into it, the beam angle of the reflected light is overall more focused and narrower, resulting in harder shadows. If you push the flash further out of the softbox, the beam angle of the light increases and the shadows become softer.

Note: The depicted light modifiers, flashes, and tripods are not included in the delivery.

The Focusing Rod You can simply tighten it securely with a screw cap. At one end of the rod is the Bowens Flash Head Speedring, on which the light source, e.g. a studio flash or an LED continuous light, can be easily mounted via the Bowens S-type bayonet. The adjustable holder of the focusing rod has a reflective Softbox Adapter, on which the softbox or umbrella is mounted and which thus illuminates the reflective inner surface of the Light shapers completed. The mount of the focusing rod also features a tilt function, allowing you to adjust the softbox/umbrella further up or down as desired.

Notes:
Make sure to have a stable setup and use a sturdy light stand, preferably one with wheels if you want to move the light source. The construction is less stable than a setup where the light source is on the light stand and the light modifier is directly on the light source, as here the light source is freely suspended.
Only insert the light source into the zoom focus system if you are actually using it, as otherwise the flash head mount could deform over time due to the weight.
This setup is best suited for large rooms, as otherwise disturbing reflections on the walls may occur.
