Our EF-ZF3 Spot Attachment for continuous lights was closely examined by filmmaker Jakob Bey. The spot attachment is designed not only for active image design but also for passive image design to further enhance creative projects! 

Active Image Design

Imagine you want to create an impressive portrait. By darkening the room and placing the spotlight on the right side of the camera, you can highlight the model's face. With an aperture of F8, you get a sharp background. In post-production, an analog look was created through color grading and adding grain. This simple setup enables creative portrait photography with a customizable light color. 

Passive Image Design  


In the passive approach, the spot attachment controls light and shadow. In one setup, the camera is placed on a tall tripod to achieve the desired composition. By precisely cropping the light with the spot attachment, more contrast and control in the image are achieved. This proven method is even used in films like "Inglourious Basterds." 

Another example shows how the spot attachment can be used to create soft light. A simple setup where the spotlight is directed at the wall. Despite limited space, impressive results can be achieved this way. 

For additional special effects, the spot attachment comes with various color gels and templates, allowing not only precise control of the light from the LED continuous light through the spot attachment but also adding that certain extra ,as shown in the image below. 

By combining with different LED continuous lights, even more creativity can be expressed in images and videos with the help of bi-color or RGB lights.
